The bones of a studio maybe the equipment, but the heart lies in the knowledge and experience brought into the session. Wherever you choose to record your music, my advice would be to not get too hung up on the gear, there are songs all over the charts produced on a laptop and some basic hardware. Over the years I have amassed a collection of quality, well maintained equipment that I know inside out and know exactly what to do to get the absolute best results for the situation.
